USE HADA LABO UV WHITE GEL AS A FACE MASK

Pardon my long absence in updating my blog. This and that stuff just makes me quite busy (and lazy) to open my laptop and write in my blog. I promise (to myself) to be more consistent in updating my blog. Besides, I’ll try to write it in English because I have to learn how to make a good writing in English. So I take this blog as one of my exercise in improving my writing ability.

This time I will make a review about hada labo uv white gel. I choose this product because I am almost running out of it and before I have no picture to show in this blog, I have to make the review immediately. Seems like I won’t repurchase it huh?!? Not because I don’t like this product but the things just...Here’s my review...

Hada labo uv white gel is a multipurpose product. Hada labo claim that their product can be used as moisturizer, essence, mask, make up base, and face primer. Once I read it in the drugstore, I just couldn’t not buy it. To use it as a moisturizer, we should put an appropriate amount through the face. Because this product has spf 50+ and PA++++ (four plus!!!), while we use it as moisturizer it gives us a uv protection as well as maintain hydration of the skin. The other option is to use it as a mask by applying a thicker layer through the face and leave it for several minutes the rinse it off with water.

But how did I use it?

At the first time I try to use hada labo uv white gel as a sunscreen. I apply it after my serum (or emultion). I found that hada labo uv white gel didn’t absorb well into my skin, instead it created a layer that makes my skin look oily. It did leave a sticky feeling. Although I like both the cool sensation once I applied this gel and how it make my cc cream looks better on my face, I wasn’t quite comfortable with the sticky feeling result. Since then I seldom used this gel as a sunscreen. Yes sometimes I still used it because I had no other product contain that high of spf.

On contrary to my not-so-good review about hada labo uv white gel as a sunscreen, I do really love this gel as a mask. A thick layer of it can give an extra hydration for the whole day. One day when I was experienced in sunlight overexposure that makes my skin a little bit burn and turn to red, I masked my face with this gel for almost an hour, and voila my red burn skin disappeared instantly. Since then, I preferred to use this gel as a mask to as a sunscreen.

I used hada labo uv white gel as a mask when I needed more hydration or when my face got burn because of sunlight overexposure. Especially this gel helped me a lot to moisture my face when I used a peeling night cream that makes my skin dry. I used it every other day when I used novexpert peeling night cream and it helped a lot to prevent my skin from dehydration.

The main active ingredient of almost all hada labo products is hyaluronic acid, that promise to moisture the skin as well as reduce the sign of aging. Beside that, hada labo uv white gel also contain vitamin C derivatives for whitening purpose. The ingredients of this product are : water, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, isononyl isononanoate, dimethicone, alcohol, butylene glycol, PEG-12 dimethicone, pentylene glycol, polysilicone-15, glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, polysilicone-13, bis-ethyl-hexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, phenoxyethanol, carbomer, triethanolamine, polystyrene, methylparaben, polyvinyl alcohol, hydroxyethylcellulose, dissodium EDTA, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, titanium dioxide, ammonium acrylates copolymer, hydrated sillica, alumunium hydroxide, hydrogen dimethicone.

Although I really like to use hada labo uv white gel as a mask, I don’t have any intention to repurchase it. Simply because it is not available in Indonesia. The nearest place to get this product is in Singapore or Malaysia. I bought it at drugstore in Malaysia at cost of above Rp 250,000. I heard this product actually costs only around Rp 150,000 in Japan. Of course we have to pay more if we buy it in Singapore or Malaysia, because those countries import the product directly from Japan, as I can see the writing ‘made in Japan’ in the product’s box.

As a conclusion, in my opinion hada labo uv white gel is better to be used as a mask than as a sunscreen. It is worth to try because it is quite cheap as a great performance mask. For the price that I write above, we can get 90gr of hada labo uv white gel. The only bad news is it is hard to be found because it is not available in Indonesia and I haven’t found any local online shop that sell this product.
